33 YPS / YPS-JIN members killed in Cizre still not identified

33 YPS and YPS-JIN members, who lost their lives during the clashes that began after the curfew in Cizre and who were buried in various cemeteries for the nameless, still haven’t been identified.

Bodies of 33 YPS and YPS-JIN members who lost their lives in the clashes that broke out after the curfew declared in Şırnak’s Cizre district on December 15, 2015 are still in the cemeteries of the nameless waiting to be picked up. The bodies were sent to Malatya, Mardin, Antep, Silopi and Şırnak for autopsy procedures but the still unidentified bodies were buried in cemeteries of the nameless in various locations.

According to reports, one of the unidentified bodies is in the cemetery in Cizre’s Yafes neighborhood, 17 of them are in Silopi, 4 in Şırnak’s Toptepe (Avgamasiyan) village, 2 in Şırnak’s Balveren town and 2 are in Şırnak’s Kumçatı town, waiting to be picked up. 2 YPS and YPS-JIN members are said to be in Antep and 5 bodies are reportedly in the cemetery of the nameless in Malatya.

Many families who submitted DNA samples to receive their dead still haven’t received any replies.
