As many as 35 people have been taken into custody in a large scale detention operation that followed the removal of a curfew in 7 villages of Bitlis' Tatvan district.
Turkish security forces conducted a large scale detention operation after the removal of the curfew in Kavar region -which involves Teknecik, Sallıca, Dönertaş, Kısıklı, Suboyu, Yumruaya and Sarıdal villages- in Tatvan district of Bitlis that was in place since March 25.
As many as 35 people including village headmen have been detained in the operation and taken to Tatvan police station and district gendarmerie station while the reason for detentions is not clear yet.
