Torture continues against 19 wounded people who are waiting for an ambulance in a basement in Cizre's Cudi neighborhood for 7 days. As the building remains under fire of state forces, one of those with wounds has lost consciousness, while 4 others are reported to be on the brink of death.
Cizre Municipality ambulance is still not allowed access to the area to retrieve the casualties, six of whom bled to death during the past 6 days of deliberate torture.
HDP Şırnak deputy Faysal Sarıyıldız said an ambulance and healthcare team was waiting ready to go the scene following HDP deputies' talks at the Ministry of Interior.
Sarıyıldız underlined that Turkish forces are hindering ambulance access into the area by pretending to be engaged in clashes around the basement where slain and wounded people remain trapped under heaviest conditions. He noted that bombardment against the building also continued.
With reference to his most recent phone talk with those in the basement, Sarıyıldız said Ferhat Karaduman who got wounded in the bowels has lost consciousness by now, while 4 others are reported to be on the brink of death. He warned that these people could die any moment.
Regarding the most recent reports of a soldier death in the area of that house, Sarıyıldız said; "It is not clear if that soldier has died there. Those in the basement say in a SMS that they can see the feet of soldiers from the windows of the basement. They say military vehicles are deployed right before them. The area is already held and controlled by state forces that also shell that building all day long. They do not to recognize the Ministry by hindering the access of ambulances to the basement."
HDP MP added that the conditions of the people in the basement are getting heavier and they cannot speak even, but just moaning with pain.
