Four wounded combatants of Rojava's YPG (People's Defense Units) have been sent to Sêmelka border gate to cross into South Kurdistan. The YPG fighters were however hindered by KDP authorities at the border gate and denied permission to cross into Bashur (South) Kurdistan for treatment.
According to a report by ANHA, the four YPG fighters were held at the border gate from early this morning to late afternoon, for when they had been promised entrance, which was however not fulfilled.
The YPG combatants were therewith brought back to Dêrik where they have been taken under treatment at a hospital.
KDP guards at the border had also denied permission for the crossing of 11 YPG fighters' dead bodies into South Kurdistan last summer. The delivery was allowed only after mass protests by the people at the border crossing.
