5 MMC fighters martyred in clashes with Turkish forces laid to rest

5 fighters of the Manbij Military Council who fell during clashes with Turkish forces during the past week were laid to rest today.

Manbij Military Council (MMC) fighters Mahmûd El-Îsa, Mihemed El-Şêx, Îbrahîm, Deşo Deşo and Cemîl Îbrahîm (Cemal) who were martyred in clashes with occupant Turkish army in western villages of Manbij during the past one week, have been laid to rest at Manbij Cemetery of Martyrs following a military ceremony.

Speaking during the ceremony which began with one minute's silence in memory of the martyrs, Families of Martyrs Institution member Emîra Mihemed stated that; We are living at peace owing to the sacrifice and will of the martyrs, heroes who saved us from the terror of the gangs. The continuation of the Syrian war is an international conspiracy.”

Manbij Military Council Spokesman Shervan Derwish, Manbij Democratic Civil Administration and Legislative Assembly co-chair Faruk El-Maşî also held speeches, putting emphasis on the importance of fight against terror and pledging to follow in the footsteps of the martyrs.

Following the speeches, the martyrs were laid to rest.
