HPG Press and Communications Center announced that 6 armored vehicles and 1 tank were destroyed in actions carried out in the early morning in 4 branches and that there were many casualties from the police and the army.
HPG Press and Communications Center has issued a written statement regarding the actions carried out in and around Şemdinli.
HPG’s statement is as follows:
“In the early hours of this morning, our forces have carried out 4 simultaneous actions against the occupying state forces’ police headquarters, a study center used by the special operations units, several police checkpoints in the district and the locations armored vehicles are stationed in. Several police officers and special operations units were killed in effective hits on several points in the district center while 6 armored vehicles were destroyed on first hits. Şapatan village and surrounding areas are under control of our guerrillas. Many casualties from the army and the police were left on the ground in the actions and resulting clashes. Detailed information on the revolutionary operation will be released later.”
