In a written statement, HPG Media Center announced that 6 Turkish soldiers were killed during recent guerilla actions in Hakkari, Mardin, Amed, Dersim and Van.
HAKKARİ
Guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers at Ronahi Hill in Hakkari’s Şemzinan district at 14:00 on September 17, and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified.
VAN
Guerillas ran into a group of soldiers near Tızizê bridge in Van’s Çatak district at 17:30 on September 14, and reached their bases safely after brief clashes in the area.
MARDİN
Guerillas carried out ID control on the road between Midyat and Nusaybin in Mardin at 07:00 on September 16 and informed the people passing by about recent political developments. 2 contra-guerillas in a moving vehicle ignored the guerillas’ stop warning and were wounded after their car was hit. HPG Media Center emphasized that Turkish Media’s portrayal of the counter-guerillas as civilians was deceitful manipulation.
AMED
HPG announced that Turkish soldiers launched an operation near the villages of Barbil, Hacuka and Kotêkan in Amed’s Ergani district on September 12, and continues to lay ambushes near Kınerê and Hacuka villages despite the end of the operation on September 13.
HPG guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers at Tim Hill in Dicle district at 20:30 on September 16, and 2 ambulances arrived at the hill to retrieve the bodies of dead or injured soldiers whose numbers have not yet been clarified.
Guerillas also carried out an action on the soldiers near the dam in Dicle on the morning of September 17, and more information on this action will be shared with the public soon.
DERSİM
Guerillas carried out a sabotage action against soldiers at a Kobra armored vehicle moving on the road between Meydan neighborhood and the Watch Tower in Dersim’s Pülümür district at 18:15 on September 16. 6 soldiers were killed, and 2 counter guerillas and 1 specialized sergeant was injured during the action.
