73 homes raided in Amed countryside in two days

73 homes have been raided during the curfew declared on September 3 in Amed countryside.

The Diyarbakır Governorate has lifted the curfew declared in Lice and Hani from 18:00 onwards on September 3.

In the military operation carried out during the curfew, several neighborhoods of the Birlik (Çemêelik), Şenlik (Xırabê), Speni and Hani districts in the Lice and Hani regions were blockaded and villagers were prevented from leaving. Entry to and exit from the neighborhoods were cut off by soldiers and rural areas were hit by Howitzers and mortars.

The governorate announced that 872 persons and 237 vehicles were inspected through the Gendarmerie Security Information System (JABS) and KIHBI, UYAP and ASAL systems, 73 homes were raided and processing has started on 13 “suspects”.

CURFEW AREAS

The curfew had been declared in the following neighborhoods and hamlets:

Kaledibi, Akçayurt, Topçular, Y.Turalı, Kalaba, Uzunlar and Serenköy neighborhoods and Başaklı, Güzelce, Taşburun, Karapilyari, Mezartarlası, Sıraevler, Horsel, Çay, Damlatepe, Uysal, A. Turalı and Gürbulak hamlets in Hani; Şenlik, Birlik, Abalı, Erginköy, Tuzlaköy, Çeper, Daralan and Duruköy neighborhoods and Elmadere, Ağılçık, Akçapınar, Ayaz, Şakan, Boyluca, Dahlık, Alikahya, Hacımusabey, Kutlamış hamlets in Lice.
