Van Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office prepared an indictment against Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Van Parliamentarian Adem Geveri, whose immunity had been lifted after the recent constitutional change, for his speeches in 2015. The indictment submitted to Van 2nd High Criminal Court has been approved.

In the indictment, Geveri is accused of “praising acts of violence,” “propagating for a terrorist organization,” “disrupting the unity and integrity of the state,” and “being a member of a terrorist organization.”

Van Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office requested that Geveri receives aggravated life sentence and up to 35 years in prison.
