AKP's fear of “NO”: Ballots moved in Ağrı

5 days before the referendum, ballots in Patnos and Taşlıçay districts of Ağrı have been moved.

Ballots in Ağrı’s Patnos and Taşlıçay districts have been moved days before the referendum. The ballots were moved to the center from Taşlıçay’s Tanyolu and Yankaya villages and ballots for 21 neighborhoods were combined with 10 neighborhoods in Patnos.

HDP Central Executive Committee Member Metin Bingöl stressed that the AKP is afraid of the people’s support to the HDP during the referendum efforts.

Bingöl said: “In our home and shop visits, we saw that the people will protect their ballots. The people are aware that they are voting for their future. This people know why they are saying ‘No’. All our election council members are ready. Both us and the people will go to the ballots and declare that we say ‘No’.”

HDP Central Executive Committee Member Metin Bingöl called on the peoples of Turkey and said: “We as the Kurdish people have gone through all kinds of trouble. We are a people whose language and identity have been denied. We have experienced every pain possible. Don’t stay silent in the face of what we have been put through. Don’t stay silent so it won’t happen to you tomorrow. We don’t want you to experience what we had. We are fighting so you won’t have to go through these pains. We are calling on you to join us in ‘No’.”
