Amed Municipal personnel stopped working this morning after Co-Mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı were detained on Tuesday and the many Unit Directors that were taken into custody during yesterday’s protests.

Municipal buses stopped running and cleaning workers did not collect trashes. The municipal personnel is expected to attend the "Don’t touch my will" protest at 11:00 today.

Below are the names of the municipal employees that were arrested during yesterday’s protest:

Amed Metropolitan Municipality General Secretary Zülküf Karatekin, DİSKİ Deputy Director Kemal Buluş, Investments and Construction Unit Director Harun Vural, Municipal Assembly member Nadir Bingöl, Metropolitan Municipality Machine Supply Chief Fikret Fidan, Waterworks Unit Director Nejat Akyüz, municipal employees Sultan Şafak, Fırat Düzgün, Hafnaz Sadak, Ahmet Balda, Gülistan Ensarioğlu, Rıfat Roni, Nurettin Bolkan, Hacı Çetin, Halime Narınç, İskender Demir and Gülseren whose last name has not yet been clarified.
