The regional command of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) in the northern Kurdish province of Amed (tr. Diyarbakır) issued a public warning against “those working for the enemy.”
The statement released on Thursday said: “In our Amed Province, we have received intensive information that two persons named Fuat Yalçın and Mürteza Karademir are collecting money from people on behalf of our Movement, but they are actually spying for the enemy, trying to deceive patriotic people and serving the enemy. All our people and patriotic circles should be cautious against these people, should not believe them and should not let them into their circles. We are aware of all the espionage activities in the province and we want to emphasise that none of them will be left unanswered. We state that we will definitely hold to account those who harm our patriotic people in various ways and those who have the blood of guerrillas on their hands."
