Turkish state's all-out war against Kurdish people has claimed yet another youth's life in Şırnak's Cizre district where a state of siege continues for 43 days.

Dozens of people who got injured as a result of artillery attacks on Cudi neighborhood still remain trapped in the basement of a five-storey building which is also shelled for the past three days.

While Turkish forces continue to hinder ambulances from entering the neighborhood to retrieve the casualties, three of 28 people have died waiting to be rescued. One of these was university student Cihan Karaman, and the other two are yet to be identified.

As the building where the injured people took shelter remained under fire by Turkish forces throughout today, reports came through that the building was largely collapsed as a result of the attack, and the injured in the basement were feeling difficulty in breathing.

28-year-old Selami Yılmaz, who was among the wounded in the basement, has also lost his life Monday evening. Yılmaz has reportedly died of blood loss with a heavy injury on a leg shot by police bullet.

As the death toll in the basement has risen to 4 during the last 3 days, the victimised wounded are still being denied access to hospital despite an interim measure ordered by the European Court of Human Rights.
