Turkish police forces have demolished the graves of Kurdish martyrs formed by MEYA-DER in Serê Solan Cemetery in Hakkari's Sümbül neighborhood.
In line with the demolition order given by Hakkari Governorate, police forces entered the cemetery with dozens of armored vehicles and diggers which demolished the cemetery's wall and the religious service field, while tombstones were torn down and taken away.
Police forces also seized the red-green-yellow flags hanged on the graves of martyrs who lost their lives in Gever and Sur during the self-rule resistance.
While the cemetery was surrounded by armored vehicles, police also threatened the reporters trying to cover the scene. Families that came to the cemetery after the leave of police forces strongly reacted against the attacks on the graves of their children.
