As the curfew in Dargeçit (Kerboran) district of Mardin continues in its third day, armed attacks by special operation teams has claimed yet another youth's life today.

While the youth by the name of Takyedin Oral was killed by police in Safa neighborhood, residents managed to reach the scene only by carrying white flags to protect their lives. People took Oral's body and helped it to be taken to Dargeçit State hospital in an ambulance.

As attacks in the neighborhood have reportedly left some other people wounded, reports say that special operation police have tortured a youth after stripping off his clothes near Mıcır Safa neighborhood. The youth is reported to have been detained, but his whereabouts is not known.

The onlaught by state forces is getting heavier in the district where police and soldiers have built up barricades at many locations.

In the meantime, special operation police teams have also targeted and damaged the Mıcır Safa Mosque in Safa neighborhood where people continue resisting to the intensified attacks with artillery and heavy weaponry.
