Temel Temel, 50, who lives in the village of Setkar in Beytüşşebap (Elkê) in the province of Şirnak and is the brother of former BDP mayor Yusuf Temel, was attacked with guns in front of his house on Sunday evening. He died at the scene. Regional sources claimed that he was assassinated.

Temel's body was taken to Beytüşşebap State Hospital morgue. Relatives rushed to the hospital after learning of the killing.
