Attacks on Şırnak continue
State forces continue bombarding Şırnak on the 20th day of the genocidal attacks on the city. Military deployment continues in the city and many houses and worship spaces have been damaged by the on-going bombardment.
Neighborhoods of resistance were heavily bombarded last night as the self-administration resistance in Şırnak enters its 20th day. AKP forces have been bombarding Cumhuriyet, İsmetpaşa, Gazipaşa, Dicle and Bahçelievler neighborhoods from Çevreyolu, Gümüştepe, Sîn û Ber region and the Çakırsöğüt Gendarme Brigade.
Many houses including the Şükrü Geliş Quran Course in Şehr-i Nuh (Ömerköy) neighborhood were burnt down to the ground due to tank shelling, despite the lack of trenches and barricades in this neighborhood. State forces had destroyed the Great Mosque in İsmetpaşa neighborhood during yesterday’s bombardment.
As the military deployment in the city continues, nearly 30 military vehicles arrived at the 23rd Gendarme Border Division Command last night. Violent clashes continue to take place in Gazipaşa neighborhood and Ömer Kabak Square.
