Out of the 27 burnt and fragmented corpses retrieved from the scene of Cizre massacre yesterday, 8 have been brought to Mardin and taken under post-mortem examination.
A total of 27 burnt and fragmented corpses were retrieved from the scene of the massacre committed by Turkish state forces in a basement in Şırnak's Cizre district. The bodies were taken to Cizre State Hospital with municipal ambulances yesterday.
12 of these were later sent to Şırnak, 8 to Urfa and 7 others to Mardin. These corpses had been retrieved from the building where the second "basement of atrocity" is located, and its surroundings.
Post-mortem examination has been started this morning on the eight corpses that were brought to Mardin State Hospital at around 11 pm last night.
While police have taken strict measures in and around the hospital, corpses will be placed in the hospital morgue once autopsy procedures are finalized.
