KRG’s prime minister Nechirvan Barzani asked the parliament to set a date for parliamentary and presidential elections within three months.
KRG’s prime minister Nechirvan Barzani asked the parliament to set a date for parliamentary and presidential elections within three months.
In a letter addressed to the parliament, Barzani said: “We ask the parliament of Kurdistan to take necessary legal procedures to hold the elections within three months so that we can set a date for the elections during this period.”
The parliament postponed the elections which were to be held on November 1 after the conflict between Iraqi forces and Kurds in late October.
The elections is expected to be held after Iraqi parliamentary elections on May 12, 2018.
