“Barzani is legitimizing the Turkish state invasion”

Former Iraqi Parliament MP Rengîn Ebdullah said, “PKK fought against ISIS gangs in Shengal and protected the border of the Kurdistan Region. Barzani should give an explanation about what he said.”

The Turkish state continues to attack Bashure (Southern) Kurdistan’s lands at full speed. The people of the region voice their objections to these invasion attacks at every chance they get, but the Iraqi and Kurdistan Regional governments remain silent in the face of their lands being invaded and civilian citizens being martyred. Meanwhile, Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani tries to legitimize the Turkish state invasion with each statement he gives.

Rengîn Ebdullah spoke to the Aryen Television and pointed to Nechirvan Barzani’s statements.

In her speech, Rengîn Ebdullah protested Nechirvan Barzani’s comments of “PKK has invaded a large portion of the Kurdistan Region” and said: “These comments are an attempt to legitimize the Turkish state attacks against Qandil. This is very dangerous. The Government’s Head must explain these comments. Because the PKK fought against ISIS gangs in Shengal. PKK defended the borders of the Kurdistan Region. For all these, we should be supporting the PKK not branding them ‘invaders’.”

Rengîn Ebdullah added: “The Kurdistan Regional Parliament must take a stand against the Government Head for these comments and launch an investigation.”

She said while ISIS gangs were attacking Makhmur, Shengal and Kirkuk, PKK guerillas fought the gangs in the fronts and concluded with: “Thousands of Yazidis were rescued from ISIS massacres by PKK guerillas. The lands of Bashure Kurdistan are being attacked by the invading Turkish state this time. Freedom Fighters are fighting against these invaders, and defending Kurdistan.”

Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani gave a press statement yesterday and called the PKK invaders, but didn’t react to the bombing of civilian residential areas or the martyring of civilian citizens.
