Turkish military and police forces continue their onslaught in Şırnak's İdil (Hezex) district for 44 uninterrupted days. Dozens of people have been killed and thousands of houses have been torn down by state forces during this process.

As residents returning home are trying to heal their wounds, a blast has occurred in Turgut Özal neighborhood Saturday afternoon.

An 8-year-old child by the name of Müslüm İlhan died as a result of the blast, the result of which was not immediately clear.

İlhan's body has been taken to İdil Public Hospital's morgue.
