A military vehicle transporting soldiers partaking in an operation was targeted by a blast near Tekeli outpost in Garê region of Hakkari's Şemdinli district. While many ambulances were dispatched to the scene, initial reports by Turkish sources say that 4 soldiers were wounded in the blast. Local sources report many dead and wounded soldiers.

Another blast hit a Turkish military convoy in the countryside of Van's Başkale district.

The military convoy was heading towards a border outpost and Turkish sources report that 8 soldiers were wounded in the blast, including 2 heavily.
