Bodies of three civilians, who lost their lives after a mortar shell fired by soldiers hit their house in Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district yesterday, have been taken from Şırnak State Hospital.

Ahmet Temel and his son Behçet Temel have been taken back to Beytüşşebap, and their relative Alya Temel, who was in the district of an Eid visit, to Adana to be laid to rest.

A postmortem was performed on the bodies of three civilians following their referral to Şırnak State Hospital late yesterday afternoon.

In the meantime, a delegation from HDP continues its examination in Beytüşebap where Turkish state forces attacked civilians in the town center following a clash with HPG guerrillas outside the district the night before.

HDP Şırnak deputy Ferhat Encü who went to the district told yesterday that police teams opened gunfire on workplaces and houses in the town center despite there taking place no clashes there, while they also set a mosque on fire and hit a minaret of another mosque with rockets.

Encü said police forces also attempted to set fire to the HDP building and workplaces in the town center, adding; “Beytüşşebap has turned into a total battle field. Police forces came to the district center after the clashes and took revenge on civilians.”

On the other hand, police also killed an ambulance driver Şehmuz Dursun as he entered the district to take the wounded policemen upon a call by the district governor early in the morning.

Eyewitnesses told that fire opened by police forces on the ambulance left the driver dead, while two other health workers fled the scene to save their lives.
