As the popular resistance for self-rule endures in Gever for 25 uninterrupted days, severe clashes have erupted between Civilian Defense Units YPS/YPS-JIN and state forces trying to enter the neighborhood of Cumhuriyet with a number of armored vehicles and tanks. The neighborhood has been shaken by two consecutive huge blasts. Ambulance activity towards the areas of clashes is going on.
Tanks deployed at the entry of Güngör neighborhood and on Şemzinan (Şemdinli) route have in the meantime started an artillery aggression on buildings in Güngör neighborhood. The resistance of YPS/YPS-JIN units endures against the ongoing bombardment and attempts of infiltration.
Amid an intensified mobilization of Cobra and Sikorsky helicopters, Turkish jets have conducted low altitude flights over the district. The jets later started to fly over the border territory near the areas of Oremar (Dağlıca), Zap, Avashin, Kanispî, Bêzelê (Aktütün), Garê (Tekeli) and Xakûrkê.
