Bombardment by Turkish helicopters start a fire in Lice countryside

Fire erupted as a result of the bombardments conducted by Turkish army helicopters in Cumarê region in the countryside of Amed's Lice district last night.

The Turkish military operation launched after the imposition of a curfew in 14 villages in Amed's Lice, Kocaköy and Hazro districts yesterday, continues.

As part of the operation, Turkish helicopters shelled the rural areas in Cumerê region of Kabakkaya hamlet last night. The bombardment caused a fire in the area which greatly damaged the fields and orchards of locals.

As the activity of Turkish helicopters and drones in the area continues, locals complain about a lack of communication as phone and internet networks remain restricted in the region since yesterday morning.
