Bombardment in the countryside of Hakkari's Gever district

Turkish army is bombarding the rural areas in villages and neighborhoods of Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova) district where a curfew was declared.

A curfew was declared in 9 neighborhoods of Gever’s 6 villages, and entrance to and exit from these neighborhoods are forbidden.

The curfew took effect last night at 22:00, and the neighborhoods where there is a curfew are the following:

Kaport (Demirkonak) village and its Yumurtaş and Pagê neighborhoods,

Menkawa (Değerli) village and its Köycük, Yekmala Jorin (Yukarı Ölçekli) ve Yekmala Jêrîn (Aşağı Ölçekli) neighborhoods,

Pirzala (Yoncalık) village and its Darê (Beşbulak) neighborhood,

Serindere village and its Xurekana Jorîn (Yukarı Güveç) neighborhood,

Tiloran (Aşağı Uluyol) village and its Tilorana Jorîn (Yukarı Uluyol) neighborhood,

Dêlezê (Kısıklı) village and its Aşağı Güveç neighborhood.

Local sources report that the countryside of Kaport, Menkawa, Pirzala, Serindere, Tiloran and Dêlezê villages, and the Kuçe, Pagê, Köycük, Yekmala Jorin, Yekmala Jêrîn, Darê, Xurekana Jorîn, Tilorana Jorîn and Aşağı Güveç neighborhoods are being bombarded by the Turkish military.

Reports are coming through of an intense aerial activity over the targeted area.
