Broadcast ban on the execution of Kemal Kurkut at Amed Newroz
A broadcast ban was imposed on the execution by police of Kurdish university student Kemal Kurkut before the beginning of Newroz celebration in Amed on March 21.
Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued a broadcast on the execution by police of Kurdish university student Kemal Kurkut at the Newroz grounds before the beginning of celebrations in Amed on March 21.
According to a statement by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the broadcast ban was issued to “ensure the capture of suspects, to “not obstruct the exposure of intelligence on the incident” and in consideration of “the risk of disruption of public safety”.
