The Turkish state’s invasion attacks against southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq, continue.
Speaking to RojNews about the matter, activists and lawyers from Hewler strongly responded to Turkey's unlawful practices and urged the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi central government to act against attacks.
Kurdistan Islamic Society (Komela Îslami) Hewler Law Office President Dana Dara: Kurdistan Regional Government cannot prevent Turkish invasion. For this reason, the Iraqi government must raise its voice as the Turkish state violates law and the Constitution with these practices.
Iraqi government should put pressure on the Turkish state in response to the invasion of Southern Kurdistan and attacks and threats against Qandil, Sîdekan and Shengal."
Political activist Elî Siyasî: Some parties in Southern Kurdistan should stop closing their eyes to the Turkish state and helping it invade the lands of Southern Kurdistan. Citizens, also, should take to the streets and manifest their reaction against the Turkish invasion.
No country can invade the Iraqi lands. The Turkish state’s attacks are against the international law. As a member of the International Criminal Court, Iraq should treat all invasion attacks as a crime and act accordingly."
