Trustees have been appointed in the place of City Council members from BDP in Van’s Gevaş district. İsa Şahin, the chief village guard, was appointed trustee in City Council Member Cevdet Altındağ’s place.
AKP government continues the unlawful trustee appointments. Deputy district governors and governors were appointed as trustees in 4 DBP municipalities on September 11, and now trustees were appointed in place of the City Council members from DBP in the municipality with Mayor Sinan Hakan from AKP.
Trustees were appointed by the district governor in place of arrested DBP’s City Council members Serpil Sezer, Hayrettin Baydar and Cevdet Altındağ in Van’s Gevaş district. The trustees appointed in the council members’ places are chief village guard İsa Şahin, Chamber of Agriculture Chair Mesut Ergenç and Güzelkonak Neighborhood former chief Mirza Tarhan.
Remaining city council members from DBP spoke on the matter and said they won’t recognize the trustees.
