Cizîrê Canton Co-presidency and Kongreya Star condemn the attacks

Rojava's Cizîrê Canton Co-presidency and Kongreya Star Coordination condemned the Turkish state’s attacks on Rojava’s Qereçox (Karachok) region and Shengal.

Cizîrê Canton Co-presidency issued the following written statement on the Turkish state’s attack on Rojava’s Qereçox region and Shengal:

“The AKP government has attacked Rojava and North Syria once again in order to inflict a blow on Rojava Revolution and the democratic gains of Rojava and Northern Syria. The occupant Turkish army has violated international law and crossed the neighboring borders in front of the entire world. We call upon the democratic forces of the world and all peoples that struggle for democracy to condemn the Turkish state’s occupation starting from Jarablus, bombardment of Efrîn’s villages, and attacks on our people in a territory stretching from Shengal to Efrîn.

As Cizîrê Canton Co-presidency, we condemn the Turkish state’s attack on the region’s people and the Cizîrê Canton Autonomous Administration territory.

Moreover, we call upon our people in Cizîrê Canton and Northern Kurdistan to support our heroic forces and foil the attacks on the honor of our people.”

Kongreya Star Coordination, the umbrella organization of the Rojava Women’s Movement, issued the following statement on the Turkish state’s attack:

“Turkish warplanes carried out a comprehensive attack on the headquarters of the YPG General Command in Mount Qereçox near Derik city center and Shengal region at 02:00 last night .

With this attack, the fascist Erdoğan regime and AKP government has shown their fear of a people organized and fighting under the leadership of women. Moreover, the occupant state is trying to create corridors through which its partner ISIS and other gang groups can breathe.

As Kongreya Star, we strongly condemn the Turkish state’s attack on the region’s peoples.

Moreover, we call upon all women and peoples in Northern Syria to stand with the autonomous regions and condemn the attack.”
