People's Council co-chair Mehmet Tunç spoke about the recent situation in Şırnak's Cizre district where an uninterrupted aggression by Turkish state forces continues for 41 days.
Tunç said Cihan Karaman has died after a continued denial of access to ambulance, while 10 other people who got wounded during last night's attacks on Cudi neighborhood are still waiting for an ambulance. He said ongoing artillery fire on the neighborhood has brought the number of wounded to 28 today evening.
People's Council co-chair said; “The shelling is going on. We need to get out of here as soon as possible, for it will otherwise be our dead bodies to be removed from here.”
Tunç stated that state forces continue to target them in the basement where they have taken shelter, which has just been attacked with tear gas in an attempt to kill everyone inside.
Cizre People's Council co-chair called for urgent action against “yet another massacre of civilians” intended by Turkish state forces against them at the moment.
