Clashes erupt as KDP's 'Rojava Peshmerga' attack Shengal's Xanesor
A group affiliated to the KDP called 'Rojava Peshmerga' has attempted to forcibly enter the Xanesor town of Shengal under the control of Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ).
Clashes erupted as the so-called 'Rojava Peshmergas' and Zêrevan units, known as the special forces of KDP, started to attack Xanesor with tank and heavy weaponry at around 06:00 Friday morning..
According to local reports, the KDP forces are hitting civilian settlements in the town, as result of which many houses have been demolished already. Civilians cannot go out due to the aggression.
Clashes in Xanesor town of Shengal are ongoing.
The attack on Shengal is said to have been made by KRG Presiden Masoud Barrzani during his recent visit to Turkey.
