While the most recent curfew in Amed's central Sur district was finally lifted two days ago, lasting a total of 9 days, yet another curfew has been imposed in the district as of 16:00 yesterday evening.
The second curfew came after 17 hours break during which the local people were forced to leave their houses and the district.
As attacks by Turkish special operation teams began soon after the imposition of the curfew, gunshots are heard mainly from Mardinkapı and historical Kurşunlu Mosque where attacks intensify.
The onslaught by Turkish forces took a heavy toll on the district, with images from demolished houses resembling the areas attacked by ISIS in Rojava with heavy weaponry.
Today's attacks by police forces have also damaged many civilian houses.
A policeman is reported to have got wounded as reports of clashes are coming through from the district.
