Mehmet Muhdi Aslan, Co-mayor of Şırnak's İdil district, was detained in a house raid in İdil on September 20. Aslan was later referred to the court on duty with a demand for his arrest after the procedure in the prosecutor’s office.

The court arrested Aslan with the allegation of “membership to a terrorist organisation” and he was transferred to Midyat Closed Prison.
