Co-mayor of Van's Çaldıran district jailed
Co-mayor of Van's Çaldıran district was jailed late yesterday after her detention by police the day before.
Co-mayor of Van's Çaldıran district, Suna Atabay, was taken into custody while travelling from Çaldıran to Van Tuesday afternoon.
Atabay was taken to Çaldıran district police headquarters, from which she was later referred to court.
The court jailed the co-mayor for alleged crimes of “spreading terror propaganda and aiding and abetting a terror organisation”.
