Co-mayor of Van's Çatak district municipality held by Democratic Regions' Party (DBP), Evin Keve who was detained in Ankara province the day before, has been formally arrested.
Evin was referred to court following procedures at police department, and she was formally arrested for alleged “membership to a terrorist organization”.
Çatak District Governor Hacı Asım Akgül was recently appointed trustee to the municipality as part of the government's increasingly ongoing operations of political genocide.
