Community Peacemaker Teams: 10 civilians killed by Turkey in South Kurdistan in 10 months

Community Peacemaker Teams, CPT, published a statement regarding the civilians killed and injured in the attacks carried out by the Turkish state in South Kurdistan since the beginning of 2023.
According to the data, from 1 January to 17 October 2023, 10 civilians were killed and 12 people were injured in the air attacks carried out by the Turkish in South Kurdistan.
According to the statement, 6 people were killed in air strikes carried out by drones and 3 people by warplanes. One person lost his life as a result of a mine that exploded near a military base belonging to the Turkish state.
The CPT reported that 2 people were injured as a result of direct fire opened by Turkish soldiers, 9 people were injured in air strikes and one person was injured as a result of a mine explosion.
The statement also underlined that 2 people were injured while herding sheep, 5 people while in a vehicle, 3 people in Maxmur Camp, one person while collecting beets and one person while at home as a result of the attacks by the Turkish state.
The statement added: "The Turkish army has advanced hundreds of kilometers into the territory of the Kurdistan Region since April 2022. The Turkish army is targeting not just the PKK guerrillas, but also citizens, villagers and farmers living in the Kurdistan Region."
The Turkish state has murdered over 600 civilians in invasion attacks against South Kurdistan since 2016.
