The Culture and Sports Festival, which has been held for 16 years in Maxmur on the occasion of the birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, ended with a big celebration on Thursday night.
Thousands of people attended the Culture and Sports Festival held at the Culture and Arts Center in the Rustem Cudi Refugee Camp (Maxmur).
At the celebration, speeches were made about the meaning and importance of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's birthday. Then a group of kindergarten and secondary school students took the stage. They were followed by dengbêj.
Sports competitions continued throughout the day with different disciplines.
A folklore group consisting of primary school students and a musical group from İbo Qamishlo and Shengal also took the stage.
