Mardin Governorate has declared a curfew in Elmabahçe and Ulucanlar neighborhoods in Mardin's Artuklu district on Sunday. According to the Governorate's statement, the curfew will remain in place until a further notice.

Turkish army has started an operation in the countryside of both villages soon after the declaration of the curfew.
