The state of siege ongoing in Amed's central Sur district since 2 December 2015, has been extended to 5 other neighborhoods today.

A related statement by Sur District Governor's Office declared indefinite curfew on Abdaldede, Alipaşa, Lalebey, Süleyman Nazif and Ziya Gökalp neighborhoods and Melikahmet Street as of 11:30 today.

In the meantime, police continue to make announcements urging people to evacuate their houses in the mentioned areas. Clashes that erupted upon Turkish forces' attack from Melikahmet Street are going on.
