Diyarbakır Governorate has declared a curfew in 10 villages in Lice district of Amed due to a military operation launched in the area.

According to the Governorate statement, the curfew involves the villages of Kayacık, Ortaç, Yalaza, Tepe, Arıklı, Serince, Çağdaş, Uçarı, Dibekköy and Yolçatı, beginning as of 05:00 January 5, 2017 and to remain in effect until a further notice.
