A curfew has been declared in 13 villages in Lice and Hani districts of Amed ahead of military operations to be launched by the Turkish army in the rural areas of both districts.

According to the related statement by Diyarbakır Governorate, the curfew has gone into effect in Birlik, Şenlik, Abalı, Ergin, Tuzlaköy, Çeper, Duruköy and Daralan villages of Lice, and Topçular, Yukarı Turalı, Kalaba, Serenköy and Uzunlar villages in Hani district.

The curfew has begun as of 05:00 this morning and will remain in place until a further notice.
