The Batman Governorate has declared a curfew in 6 villages in Sason district citing a military operation to be conducted therein.

Heybeli, Umurlu, Acar, Cağlı, Balbaşı, Dereiçi villages in the district and all their neighborhoods and hamlets are put under a curfew until further notice starting from August 24, 17:00.
