Guerrillas conducted an action targeting the police headquarters in Dersim's Nazımiye district early Monday morning.

According to local sources, the action with rockets and long barreled weapons was followed by a clash that lasted around one hour.

District residents report that the action left many police dead or wounded, and the ambulance and helicopter activity in the district continues.

Curfew has been announced in the district in the wake of the action by guerrillas.

While Turkish official sources report 1 soldier dead and 5 police and soldiers wounded, including 3 heavily, local sources say the number of dead and wounded Turkish security members is higher.
