Party of Democratic Regions (DBP) Amed branch has said in a written statement that no news can be received from Amed's Lice district which remains under intense attack by police and soldiers for the last three days since the imposition of a curfew.
DBP Amed branch has said in the statement that the town has no relation with outside world as internet and telephone connections have been cut for three days due to the siege by Turkish military forces. DBP voiced huge concerns over the situation of the people in the town.
DBP Amed branch drew attention to the shortage of food in over 50 villages of the town, where entry and exit has been banned after the declaration of curfew. DBP further stressed that the patients, even those in critical condition, are not allowed access to hospitals.
The statement said entry and exit has been banned in the area extending from Silvan district border to Hazro and Kulp districts, mainly in the villages of Sisê, Derxus, Huseynike. According to the statement, it is not possible at the moment to establish communication with the people living in these areas where all the communication means have been cut.
Expressing growing concern over the people in Lice and its villages due to the lack of any means of communication, DBP Amed branch emphasized that the people had no security of life under the ongoing siege by police and military forces.
