DBP, HDP and DTK co-chairs on vigil for Sur

Co-chairs of DBP, HDP and DTK are on vigil for Amed's historic Sur district which remains under a state of siege and onslaught for 91 days now.

HDP Co-President Selahattin Demirtaş, DTK Co-Presidents Hatip Dicle and Selma Irmak, HDK Co-Spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, DBP Co-President Kamuran Yüksek and many other civilians participated in the vigil protest that began yesterday in the Dicle Fırat Cultural Center located in Sur.

As the siege on Sur enters its 91st day, participants of the vigil including the HDP representatives took part in discussions mainly centered around the march that will take place at 16:00 on Wednesday (tomorrow). After these discussions, vigil participants sang songs of resistance throughout the night.

Residents of Diyarbakır will march to Sur tomorrow unless state forces end their siege before then. During the vigil, HDP representatives listened to the demands and proposals of citizens, particularly the families of young people taking part in Sur resistance. These families were the highlight of the vigil, and received information on the conditions of their children from HDP representatives and local sources.
