DBP: Our people should resist the coup everywhere

HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Group Deputy Chairperson Çağlar Demirel, DTK (Democratic Society Congress) Co-President Leyla Güven, and DBP (Democratic Regions' Party) Co-Presidents Sebahat Tuncel and Kamuran Yüksek attended the press conference.
DBP Co-President Kamuran Yüksek said that the AKP was establishing its regime by intimidating the people and massacring its opposition, and called upon everyone to rise up and resist these attacks. Yüksek stated that nobody should accept this coup and reiterated that the DBP would increase its resistance against the AKP’s attacks.
'IT IS LEGITIMATE TO RESIST THE COUP'
DBP Co-President Sebahat Tuncel emphasized that the current process was a process of coup, and the coup attempt on July 15 has been deepened and implemented against the people. Tuncel stated that it is legitimate to resist the coup, and described the attack on Kurdish institutions as a crime. DBP Co-President underlined that with the arrests of Gültan Kışanak, Fırat Anlı and Ayla Akat Ata, Kurdish people are being punished because the arrests are the AKP government’s response to the Kurdish people’s proposal of building their future. Tuncel noted that the DBP would resist these attacks and would never betray their tradition of democracy at all costs.
Sebahat Tuncel called upon the Turkish public to listen to Kurdistan because the AKP was taking the country hostage by force and would establish its own system with the new constitution. Tuncel noted that the AKP wanted to create chaos by inciting a civil war, but the Kurdish political movement would not stop resisting the coup.
