DBP Party Assembly member Bermal Birtek jailed

DBP Party Assembly member Bermal Birtek who had been detained within the context of an investigation by Muş Prosecutor's Office, has been jailed.

Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) Party Assembly (PM) member Bermal Birtek had been detained in Amed on October 15 within the context of an investigation launched by Muş Prosecutor's Office.

Birtek was referred to Muş province following procedures at the police directorate in Amed.

DBP PM member was later taken to Muş Courthouse where she gave her statement at the prosecutor's office.

Birtek was remanded in custody and sent to Muş E Type Closed Prison for alleged “membership to a terror organisation”.
