The death toll is rising in the landslide in a copper mine in Siirt’s Şirvan district. Body of worker Mehmet Şefik Tuncer was most recently retrieved from the site.

With the extraction of one more body from the copper mine, where 15 workers had been trapped, the number of people who lost their lives has risen to 5. Body of Mehmet Şefik Tuncer was found and retrieved by his fellow workers today. Tuncer's mother, Nafya Tuncer, had a nervous breakdown on site as the body was retrieved.

Rescue efforts for 11 workers continue.

6 people, 2 of them workplace safety experts are in custody regarding the workplace murder that took place in Ciner Group’s Park Elektrik mine area.

10- Halil Başer: Truck driver (Siirt, Kurtalan district)

11- Mahmut Batumak: Truck driver (Şirvan district, Taşkaya village)

12- Bedrettin Caylı: Truck driver (Şirvan district, Yatağan village)

13- Nusret Beyazalma: Truck driver (Van, Edremit district)

14- Yavuz Yıldız: Truck driver (Şirvan district)
