The Democratic Shengal Autonomous Administration made a written statement regarding the invasion operation launched by the Turkish state against Mount Garê in the Medya Defense Zones and its threats against Shengal.

The statement recalled that throughout history, there has been a continuous annihilation attempt on the Kurdish society: “The society was always wanted destroyed. The Turkish state, which is one of the parties within the framework of these plans, and the Ottoman Empire have always been the pioneers of these plans. The Turkish state is implementing another dirty plan to destroy the society in Southern Kurdistan today. With the attack on the Garê region, it becomes clearer that the Turkish state wants to seize Kurdish lands with the support of some political parties in Southern Kurdistan.”

"KDP SUPPORTS TURKEY WITH ITS OCCUPATION PLAN FOR SHENGAL"

The statement further pointed out the following: "Now, Erdogan, who could not invade Shengal through ISIS, is threatening Shengal once again. Unfortunately, some people who call themselves Kurds are acting together with Erdogan. The KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) cooperates with the Turkish state and supports the attacks against the Kurds. Having paved the way for the Garê attack, KDP now wants to support the Turkish state in the invasion plan of Shengal. The attack plan against Garê targets the independence of Iraq. The Iraqi government must stop these attacks. Iraq must take a stand against attacks.

Finally, the stance of our people is very important. They should stand by the guerrilla. The only way to frustrate the attacks is to support the fighters.”
